                   1. Image of the Sun

Place a pair of binoculars in an open window in the direct path of the sun’s rays.
Stand a mirror in front of one eyepiece so that it throws an image of the sun on to the
opposite wall of the room. Adjust the mirror until the image is sharp, and darken the
room.
You would risk damaging your eyes if you looked directly at the sun through
binoculars, but you can view the bright disc on the wall as large and clear as in the
movies. Clouds and birds passing over can also be distinguished and. if the binoculars
are good even sunspots. These are a few hot areas on the glowing sphere, some so big
that many terrestrial globes could fit into them. Because of the earth’s rotation, the
sun’s image moves quite quickly across the wall. Do not forget to re-align the
binoculars from time to time onto the sun. The moon and stars cannot be observed in
this way because the light coming from them is too weak.
                        2. Sun clock
Place a flowerpot with a long stick fixed into the hole at the
bottom in a spot, which is sunny, all day. The stick’s shadow
moves along the rim of the pot as the sun moves. Each hour
by the clock mark the position of the shadow on the pot. If
the sun is shining, you can read off the time. Because of the
rotation of the earth the sun apparently passes over us in a
semi-circle. In the morning and evening its shadow strikes the
pot superficially, while; it midday, around 12 o’clock, the light
incidence is greatest. The shadow can be seen particularly
clearly on the sloping wall of the pot.

IT ENGINEERING PROJECT

                               FINAL YEAR STUDENTS

1.BLUESTACKS APP PLAYER FOR WINDOWS PC

BlueStacks App Player lets you use all your favorite Android apps fast and full-screen on Windows PC and tablets.

1. Installing BlueStacks

Download BlueStacks App Player for Windows
Download BlueStacks App Player for Mac OSX
Download BlueStacks Cloud Connect for Android
BlueStacks App Player is available for Windows and OSX computers, and is a quick, compact install to your boot drive (there's no option in the installer to go to a different drive or directory). The only choice you make during the install is whether to allow the program to make notifications, as well as the option to opt in to BlueStacks Spotlight, which holds daily app giveaways.

2. The Home Screen

Once installed, BlueStacks will boot up to its Home Screen, where you can access your installed apps, look up apps in the "Top Charts," search for apps, and access settings. You can use the mouse for basic touch controls here, with clicking and holding to simulate basic tap and swipe controls. From here, we'll need to do a bit more setup before you can get around to installing apps. You'll need to set up access to the Google Play store and associate a Google Account with BlueStacks.

3. Setting up the App Store

With BlueStacks installed, the first thing you'll want to do is associate a Google Account so that you can get onto the Google Play store and download apps. Go to "My Apps" and click on "1-Click Sync Setup," which will bring up a wizard interface that will guide you through the process. Basically, you'll need to either create a Google account, or sign in with your existing one.

4. Setting up BlueStacks Cloud Connect

An optional step for users with an Android smartphone or tablet is to set up BlueStacks Cloud Connect, an app that allows you to push apps from your Android device to BlueStacks, and vice versa. Download Cloud Connect for your Android device, and then go to the Settings button on BlueStacks and click on "Cloud Connect".

If you have an Android phone, input an email address as well as your phone number. You will then receive instructions via email and SMS on how to connect your phone to Bluestacks, push apps, and sync SMS.

If you're running an Android tablet, you instead just use an email address to synch BlueStacks with your device. After registering BlueStacks Cloud Connect, you should receive an email containing a PIN number, which you input into the Cloud Connect app.

5. Installing & Running Apps

If you're not going to sync apps to and from your Android device, you can just use the built in App Search to search for and install apps from Google Play, Amazon, or 1Mobile.

It may seem confusing at first, but BlueStacks won't let you get to its three built-in app markets directly. You'll need to go through the App Search button. Type in the name of the app you're looking for, and it will search 1Mobile, Amazon, and Google Play for matches, and give you the option to install apps from any of the above three stores.

Once you've accessed one of the three app stores, you can then navigate that store. Within Google Play, for instance, you can take advantage of the store's search and other features.

2.LASER

A laser is a device that emits light through a process of optical amplification
based on thestimulated emission of electro magnetic radiation. The term "laser" originated as an acronym for "light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation".[1][2] A laser differs from other sources of light because it emits light coherently. spatial coherence allows a laser to be focused to a tight spot, enabling applications like laser cutting and lithography. Spatial coherence also allows a laser beam to stay narrow over long distances (collimation), enabling applications such as laser pointyers

3.RAINBOW

rainbow is an optical and meteorogical phenomenon that is caused by both reflection and refraction of light in water droplets resulting in a spectrum of light appearing in the sky. It takes the form of a multicolored arc. Rainbows caused by sunlight always appear in the section of sky directly opposite the sun.

3.HOSPITAL MANAGEMENT

Hospital Management is a procurement and reference site providing a one-stop-shop for professionals and decision makers within the global Healthcare

4.TOLLGATE MANAGEMENT

Automatic Toll Gate Management and Vehicle Access Intelligent Control System Based on ARM7 Microcontroller

5.PAYROLL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

In a companypayroll is the sum of all financial records of salariesfor an employee, wages, bonuses and dedution. In accounting, payroll refers to the amount paid to employees for services they provided during a certain period of time. Payroll plays a major role in a company for several reasons.

6.BUS RESERVATION SYSTEM

In bus reservation system there has been a collection of buses, agent who are booking tickets for customer's journey which give bus number and departure

7.LIBRARY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Library management is a sub-discipline of institutional management that focuses on specific issues faced by libraries and library management professionals. Library management encompasses normal management tasks as well as intellectual freedomanti-censorship, and fundraising tasks. Issues faced in library management frequently overlap those faced in management of non-profit organizations.[1]

8.CLOCK SYSTEM

clock is an instrument to indicate, keep, and co-ordinate time. The word clock is derived ultimately (via Dutch, Northern French, and Medivel latin) from the Celatic words clagan and clocca meaning "bell". A silent instrument missing such a mechanism has traditionally been known as a timepiece.

EEE ENGINEERING PROJECT

                            SECOND YEAR STUDENTS

1.HYDRO POWER PLANT

Hydroelectricity is the term referring to eletricity generated by hydropower; the production of electrical power through the use of the gravitational force of falling or flowing water. It is the most widely used form of renewable energe, accounting for 16 percent of global electricity generation – 3,427 terawatt-hours of electricity production in 2010,and is expected to increase about 3.1% each year for the next 25 years

2.AUTOMATIC ON /OFF IRRIGATION PUMP

We have a 5 zone sprinkler system. Zones 1-3 work perfectly fine. When zones 4 and 5 come on the pump will turn on and off. We've tried cleaning the sprinkler heads of these zones but no luck with the pump. I read on a website to open the bleed valve on the solenoid valve. I opened the bleed valve slightly on zone 5 and the pump stayed on but when I tried turning the system off with the valve still open the pump would turn on and off again. So I had to shut the bleed valve.

3.HYDRAULIC LIFT

One of the most important equipment used in transporting goods and people is the hydraulic lift.
By the way of hydraulics, such lifts are able to carry heavy loads with great ease, and lift it vertically.
Hydraulic lifts come in the form of passenger lift, service lifts (to carry goods to higher floors etc.)
For more than 150 years since the birth of the modern elevator, lifts have formed an important part
of our life. While lifts are widely used for transporting men to higher floors, and in multistoried
buildings all over the world, there is also a completely different use for lifts, as far as work
and industries are concerned. At such places, lifts are increasingly required to raise heavy
loads in the form of machinery, and equipment at different levels. Due to the heavy weight
to be lifted, the standard roped elevator design is not very efficient for the purpose.

4.VARIOUS TESTING OF ENERGY BY USING BATTERY

We tested each of the flashlights by using the two test batteries. We then labelled each flashlight with the battery brand name and put the different batteries in each marked flashlight. Before going to bed we will turn on all the flashlights at the same time and left them on overnight. We'll note down the time that the flashlights were turned on. When we wake up we will watch the flashlights until they go out and will record the time. If one goes out before we wake up, we will gettwomoreof the same type of battery and watch it during the day. This is a list of energy

5.WATER LEVEL INDICATER

The connections and arrangements are made as shown in the figure above. The +9V is supplied to water using metal contact. In this circuit all the transistors are working as a switch. When the water touches the metal contact in which base of each transistor is connected, a small current flows and turns on the transistor. When a transistor turns on, LED connected to it glows. Thus LEDs will be turned on depending up on the level of water. By using a relay we can also control the level of water.Nowadays everybody has overhead tank at their homes. But everyone who has a water tank above knows the kind of problems that they face. Firstly there is no system to track the water in the tank. Then there come a secondary problem that is when their water pump is started they have no idea when it gets filled up and sometimes there are situation where the pump keeps onpumping water to the tank and the water starts spilling out from the tank. There iswastage of energy as well as wastage of water.

6.PRODUCING CURRENT USING POTATOS

Batteries generate electricity through a chemical reaction between two different electrodes and one electrolyte. Use of Copper and Zinc electrodes and Sulfuric acid as electrolyte is a proven method for this process. We are wondering if we can use any other liquid as electrolyte? This gave us the idea of using a potato as electrolyte. After all a fresh potato has a lot of juice that may serve our purpose as electrolyte.Potato juice contains many water soluble chemicals that may cause a chemical reaction with one or both of our electrodes. So we may get some electricity from that.

7.WATER CANDLE

Holding a Water Candle in your hand will increase the monster spawn probability to 133% and the maximum number of monsters to 150%.They produce light like a regular torch or candle would. If you have them on tables as props, they produce some lovely spooky lighting. However, they don't increase the spawn rate like this.To increase the spawn rate with a water candle, hold it in your hand. It can't just be in the top row of your inventory - it must be the currently active and held item.Keep a weapon handy so that you can swap back and forth between your water candle and weapon as necessary. You can't hold both at the same time, but you can at least run around luring enemies out with your water candle, attack them all, then return to luring enemies out.

 8.TESTING OF CONDUCTORS USING LED

There is disclosed a cable test unit for use in testing multi-conductor cables containing a plurality of wire pairs. The invention includes means for supplying a constant D.C. voltage; a time-governed oscillator; a recycle pulse generator for releasing sequential pulse outputs; a connector test base having anode and cathode sides; a plurality of LEDs, each corresponding to a respective wire pair, and electrically connected to the test base; means for inhibiting induction across all wire pairs except the pair at which a pulse output from the recycle pulse generator exists; and means for recycling the pulse generator. The current flow characteristic across a given wire pair varies as a function of its structural condition as either a short, open, or crossed circuit, or a loose connection, and such characteristic is reflected in the visual appearance and behavior of the LED corresponding to that wire pair.

9.ALARAM SYSTEM

Electronic alarm systems are made up of three component parts designed to detect, determine and deter criminal activity or other threatening situations. An alarm system can detect an event such as an invasion, fire, gas leak or environmental changes; determine if the event poses a threat; and then send a notification about the event. Detect The component of an alarm system that detects activity is called a sensor. Here are some common types of sensors that may be used to protect your home.

10.SOLAR LAMP

Solar-powered lighting consists of a solar panel or photovoltaic cell that collects the sun's energy during the day and stores it in a rechargeable gel cell battery. The intelligent controller senses when there is no longer any energy from the sun and automatically turns the LED light on using a portion of the stored energy in the rechargeable battery.A solar light consists of the following components:If you pop off the cover, you will find that all of the working components are mounted as a single unit. On the back side you see this:Next, we'll take a closer look at some of these components.

11.STAIRCASE WIRING

Stair case wiring circuit diagram, OR How to control a lamp from two different places by two ,2-way switches?Staircase wiring circuit diagram very simpleThis is the staircase wiring circuit diagram. Here we can control a bulb from two different places by using two, 2-way switches. Now consider this circuit diagram. In this case you can see that circuit is complete and bulb is ON. Suppose you want to OFF bulb from the upper switch at top of stair, simply Switch OFF the switch then circuit will break and the bulb will be OFF. You can switch ON the bulb again to switch ON this Switch. In other words you can OFF and ON bulb from upper switch at the top of stair. Obviously; you can do same from the upper and bottom switch, so let’s see how we can do that from that switch at the bottom of stair. Now return to circuit again in the pic, In this case you can see that circuit is complete and bulb is ON. Suppose you want to OFF the bulb from the lower switch at bottom of stair. Simply OFF the switch, then again circuit will break and the bulb will be OFF. You can switch ON the bulb again to switch ON this Switch

12.WATER LEVEL CONTROLLER BY USING 555 TIMER IC

How many times did your overhead water tank overflows due to your forgetfulness? It is a frequent problem in all homes where people turn ON the water pump and forget to turn it off when the water is filled. This project is made to solve this problem. In this project, we are using a water level alarm using simple and low cost hardware using a 555 timer circuit. The aim of this project is to make a water level detecting alarm with simple and low cost hardware without compromising on the performance of the device.

13.ROTATING MIXIE BY USING BATTERY

Disclosed is a battery-operated utensil for mixing and pouring drinks and the like. It uses a separate motor to drive a shaft carrying mixer blades, and a separate motor to drive a pump. The motors are turned on one at a time, and drive the respective shafts directly, thus eliminating the use of components such as gears, clutches or ratchets. The design allows ingredients to be poured into the mixing vessel through a filling chute, without removing the housing which caps the vessel, as well as for convenient removal of the housing when necessary, as for cleaning. Various other features are provided to make the utensil particularly inexpensive to manufacture and convenient to use.

                             THIRD YEAR STUDENTS

1.CANDLES MAKE ELECTRICITY

In the lead up to the New Orleans Mini Maker Faire on Saturday, Matthew Candler, the founder of 4.0 Schools, debuted an electric motorcycle he's been working on for two years. The bike performed well on its maiden ride, though it still requires lights, turning signals, and a horn, among other additions, to make it street legal. Candler plans to answer questions about the bike at the Mini Maker Faire.

2.WINDMILL ELECTRICITY

Windmill electricity Mankind been harnessing the wind's energy for many years. From Holland to traditional farms around the world, windmills were used in the past for pumping water through primative irrigation systems or used to grind grain. Then, the wind turned large "sails" which were connected by a long vertical shaft that was attached to a grindnig machine or to a wheel that turned and drew water from a well. Today's turbines - can utilize the energy of the wind to turn large metal blades which in turn spins a generator that manufactures electric power.

  3.RECYCLE BOTTLE LAMP

I consider different types of light the most important part of home decoration. The light can either, give a special mood to your apartment like these String Lights ideas, or ruin it entirely when it is mismatched.
I had always liked table lamps of exceptional patterns, especially when they were handmade

                                    FINAL YEAR STUDENTS

1.SOLAR COOKER

A solar cooker is a device which uses the energy of direct sunlight to heat, cook or pasteurize food or drink. Many solar cookers presently in use are relatively inexpensive, low-tech devices, although some are as powerful or as expensive as traditional stoves,[1] and advanced, large-scale solar cookers can cook for hundreds of people.[2] Because they use no fuel and cost nothing to operate, many nonprofit organizations are promoting their use worldwide in order to help reduce fuel costs (for low-income people) and air pollution, and to slow down the deforestation and desertification caused by gathering firewood for cooking. Solar cooking is a form of outdoor cooking and is often used in situations where minimal fuel consumption is important, or the danger of accidental fires is high, and the health and environmental consequences of alternatives are severe.[3]Many types of solar cookers exist, including parabolic solar cookers, solar ovens, and panel cookers, among others.

CSE ENGINEERING PROJECT

                                                   SECOND YEAR STUDENT

1.SEISMOGRAPH

Earthquakes generate seismic waves which can be detected with a sensitive instrument called a seismograph. Advances in seismograph technology have increased our understanding of both earthquakes and the Earth itself. Perhaps the earliest seismograph was invented in China A.D. 136 by a m an named Choko.

2.ANTI THEFT SECURITY ALARAM

An anti-theft system is any device or method used to prevent or deter the unauthorized appropriation of items considered valuable. Theft is one of the most common and oldest criminal behaviours. From the invention of the first lock and key to the introduction of RFID tags and biometric identification, anti-theft systems have evolved to match the introduction of new inventions to society and the resulting theft of them by others.

  Third year students

1.Banking System

A bank is a financial intermediary that accept deposists and channel those deposits into lending activities, either directly by loaning or indirectly through copital market. A bank links together customers that have capital deficits and customers with capital surpluses.

2.Hotel management system

A hotel is a hive of numerous operations such as front office, booking and reservation, banquet, finance, HR, inventory, material management, quality management, security, energy management, housekeeping, CRM and more.

3.Online Ticket Reservation System

ticket is a voucher  that indicates that one has paid for admission to an event or establishment such as a theatre, amusement park or tourist attraction, or permission to travel on a vehicle (such as with an airline ticket , bus ticket or train ticket) typically because one has paid the fare. A ticket may be free, and serve simply as a proof of reservation.

Final Year Students

1.ATM

On most modern ATMs, the customer is identified by inserting a plastic ATM card with a  magnetic stripe  or a plastic smart card with a chip  that contains a unique card number and some security information such as an expiration date or CVV (CVV). Authentication is provided by the customer entering a Personal identification number(PIN).

2.contact Management System

A contact manager is a software  program that enables users to easily store and find contact information, such as name ,address and telephone numbers. They are contact-centric databases that provide a fully integrated approach to tracking of all information and communication activities linked to contacts. Sophisticated contact managers provide calendar  sharing features and allow several people in a company to access the same database.

3.Hospital Management System

A Hospital information system is a comprehensive, integrated information system  designed to manage all the aspects of a hospital  operation, such as medical, administrative, financial, legal and the corresponding service processing. Traditional approaches encompass paper-based information processing as well as resident work position and mobile data acquisition and presentation.

4.Telephone directory and Billing system

A telephone directory, also known as a telephone book, telephone address book, phone book, or the white/yellow pages, is a listing of telephone subscribers  in a geographical area or subscribers to services provided by the organization that publishes the directory. Its purpose is to allow the telephone number of a subscriber identified by name and address to be found.
